The Behind The Lens series will allow you to question some of deviantART's greatest photographers about their techniques and thoughts in relation to photography, their attitudes towards progress and how new advances might affect their work in future, as well as give you the opportunity to really get inside the working mindset behind the artists? best photography. As the title might suggest, you will get access behind the lens and valuable insight into how the photographs are produced, so gaining better understanding of the images from a process point of view as well as having the very obvious sight of an amazing finished product.

The Behind The Lens feature returns on dAmn this Saturday October 1st with special guest +cweeks. +cweeks is a commercial photographer in the entertainment, editorial, fashion, photojournalism and to some extent weddings of the high-end world. From the glitz of the Hollywood red carpet to the darker side of LA, +cweeks paints a picture of life with light. Having been published worldwide in magazines such as People, Entertainment Weekly and others, +cweeks not only gives us a peek into the lives of the hottest celebrities, but he shows us more personal, daily-life captures such as the homeless man we choose to ignore on the way to get our lattes. Finding a balance between commercial photography and one's own work is not an easy task, yet +cweeks gallery makes the transition with ease, using his commissions and assignments to fund his personal work.

When asked about what motivates him +cweeks had this to say , "I photograph because I love making photographs. Plain and simple. I segued my experience with 'lifestyle subjects' into assisting what I currently shoot now...My own vision of what I see in a subject appears to have translated well with editors, publishers and the most important part of my game, publicists and their respective talent clients."
